Olive Oil is a monounsaturated fatty acid containing oleic, linoleic, and alpha-linolenic fatty acids. These fatty acids are derived from traditional types of olives and make the skin moist, smooth, and firm. Used externally in soaps, lotions, and balms, Olive Oil is an excellent emollient which helps soften and smooth skin. This ingredient is not excessively greasy and has noncomedogenic properties, meaning it penetrates skin without clogging pores.
